The former Stuttgart talent Jan-Carlo Simić leaves the RSC Anderlecht after only one year-and ensures a rich transfer gain. The 20-year-old defender signed at Al-Ortihad, reportedly a four-year contract. In Saudi Arabia, the transfer window is still open until September 11th.
According to the transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, a total package of fixed transfer and bonuses of up to 21 million euros is due. Simić has thus become one of the most expensive sales of the Belgian record champion. It was only last summer that Simić came to Anderlecht from AC Milan for EUR 2.75 million.
Since then, the market value of the central defender has climbed from 5 million to 8 million euros. He was the second most valuable professional in the club after Mario Stroeykens (12 million). At Al-Ortihad, five-time Serbian international, who was also associated with Eintracht Frankfurt in April, will in future be in a team in a team with, for example, the former Liverpool Fabinho, 2018 world champion N’Golo Kanté, ex-Leverkusener Moussa Diaby and the former real scorer Karim Benzema.
