Ex-sports star involved in a fatal accident

He was a celebrated star on the football field, but now John Elway has to cope with a hard stroke of fate. He lost a close friend.
Former football star John Elway is involved in a tragic death. The former Denver Broncos quarterback lost a close confidante: Jeff Sperbeck, his long -time agent, is dead.
After a fall from a golf cart that is said to have controlled Elway, Sperbeck died on Wednesday at the age of 62. This was reported by the US broadcaster ESPN, citing local authorities.
Sperbeck fell from the back seat of the cart in the California La Quinta last Saturday and opened his head on the asphalt. Four days later he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital in Palm Springs. According to media reports, Elway is not to blame for the accident.
John Elway said deeply: He was “on the ground in view of the death of my close friend, business partner and agents,” said the former NFL star. “There are no words to describe my grief.”
From 1983 to 1999, Elway played exclusively for Denver Broncos. With the club he won the first two Super Bowl titles in club history in 1998 and 1999. In 2004 he was included in the Hall of Fame.
