Gino Lettieri is starting his second post as head coach outside of Germany. The 55-year-old Italian, who last worked as an assistant to Argirios Giannikis at AEK Athens from October 2021 to March 2022 and was previously head coach at FSV Frankfurt, MSV Duisburg and SV Darmstadt 98 as well as in Poland at Korona Kielce, will take over the Lithuanian first division club FK Panevezys.
In fifth place in the A Lyga, Lettieri signed a contract until the end of the season with an option for a further year. The gap to the places for international business is only one point, most recently FK Panevezys, who led the table from match days 5 to 14, remained four league games without a win. Valdas Urbonas, signed at the start of the season, had to vacate his post eleven days ago.
