Ex-head of the Brexit party urged NATO not to accept Ukraine into the alliance

NATO should not accept Ukraine into the alliance, says British politician Nigel Farage, who led the British Independence Party (from 2006 to 2009 and from 2010 to 2016) and the Brexit Party (2019-2021). He stated this in broadcast YouTube channel Triggernometry.

He believes that Ukraine’s accession to NATO does not bring any advantages and does not meet the interests of the West.

“If we make such a concession at this stage for the sake of achieving peace, it can work,” said Farage.

In his opinion, Russia’s rapprochement with “communist China” due to Moscow’s deepening disagreements with Western countries will be a strategic miscalculation of Great Britain and its allies.
