Bundesliga club SCR Altach has signed Mike-Steven Bähre. The 27-year-old German has been on probation in coach Miroslav Klose’s team for the past few weeks and was able to impress. Now he’s a permanent fixture in the Vorarlberg squad. Bähre was last six months without a club after his contract with the German third division club Meppen was not renewed. The midfielder was previously under contract with the then Bundesliga club Hannover 96 and the English second division club FC Barnsley.
Sports director Georg Festetics said about the commitment: “With his style of play, Mike brings a new component to our game. In addition, he is a character who takes responsibility on the pitch. We are looking forward to intensive preparations with him for the second half of the season.”
