Marco Neppe worked for FC Bayern for several years as the right hand of Hasan Salihamidžić. Now the 39-year-old has a new task.
Paris instead of Munich: Marco Neppe, active at Bayern as a scout and technical director for years, will take responsibility at Ligue-1 promoted Paris FC in the future.
The club from the French capital announced that Neppe will work as a sports director from October 1st. Club president Pierre Ferracci said: “Marco Neppe brings us experience at the highest level in one of the largest European clubs with prestigious successes.”
The Parisians, who managed to climb in the summer, trust in the planning of the squad on Nepp’s specialist knowledge. The 39-year-old started scout at Bayern in 2014, headed the scouting department from 2017 and rose to the technical director at the end of 2021. In April 2024, his time with the German record champion ended.
Paris FC hopes to be able to establish themselves in French football in the long term, to take experienced players such as DFB goalkeeper Kevin Trapp or Jonathan Ikoné (four international matches for France) and spend almost 60 million euros on newcomers.
