Ex-DFB junior Leon Dajaku is moving to Hajduk Split

Former DFB junior Leon Dajaku moves on to HNK Hajduk Split. The 22-year-old comes from the English second division club AFC Sunderland, but spent the second half of the past season on loan at FC St. Gallen in Switzerland. There, the attacker completed 13 games and contributed two assists.

Dajaku moved to Sunderland in 2021, first on loan and a year later on a permanent basis. Before that he played for 1. FC Union Berlin, FC Bayern Munich II and his training club VfB Stuttgart. The striker made 37 appearances in Sunderland, scoring four goals and providing four assists. Dajaku goes to Croatia on a free transfer, although his contract with the “Black Cats” would have been valid until next year.
