Ex-BVB striker Ciro Immobile is missing Lazio Rom longer injured

First in Serie A goalscorers list

Lazio Roma will have to do without striker Ciro Immobile in the coming weeks. During examinations, doctors found an injury to the left thigh of the former BVB striker, the Serie A club announced on Wednesday. Further investigations are to follow in the coming days to determine the length of the injury break more precisely.

Italian media reports that the 32-year-old could possibly only be available again after the winter break in January. Lazio Roma are missing the current top scorer and captain. In Serie A, the club is fifth in the table after the tenth matchday. Immobile, with six goals alongside Dušan Vlahović (22; Juventus) and Marko Arnautovic (33; FC Bologna) currently at the top of the goalscorers list in Serie A, will also miss the legendary capital derby against AS Roma on November 6th.

In the Europa League, the Biancocelesti cannot afford to make any mistakes in their Group F with three opponents tied on points, as the two matches against the Danes from FC Midtjylland and the Dutch club Feyenoord Rotterdam before the targeted entry into the knockout phase queue.
