Ex-BVB star Haaland breaks the next record

Thanks in part to a goal record set by Erling Haaland, Manchester City have again taken the lead from title rivals Arsenal in the English Premier League.

The Norwegian star attacker scored his 35th goal of the season in the 70th minute in the 3-0 (0-0) win against Fulham FC.

Andy Cole and Alan Shearer had scored 34 goals in the past in the Premier League. Man City are one point ahead of Arsenal on 79 points and have played a game fewer. In another catch-up game, Liverpool beat West Ham United 1-0 (1-0).

Defender Nathan Ake had previously scored the opening goal with a header in the 52nd minute, Phil Foden (85th) made the final score. Team manager Pep Guardiola gave ex-Bielefeld Stefan Ortega confidence in goal, but Ilkay Gündogan was missing from the starting lineup.

Liverpool goalgetter Mohamed Salah made the decision in favor of the Reds with a penalty converted against former Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno in the 39th minute. With this success, coach Jürgen Klopp’s team moved up to four points from fourth-placed record champions Manchester United.
