Every day 12 hit-and-run crimes in our country: “Drunk drivers flee faster in the hope of not being caught” | Inland

According to VIAS figures, the number of traffic accidents is on the rise, as is the number of hit and run crimes in our country. Last year, more than 4,600 people were injured in a hit-and-run accident. The perpetrator almost always has something to hide: “Drunk drivers or drivers who have taken drugs flee faster in the hope that they will not be caught,” says Stef Willems of VIAS.
