The men of Even Tot Hier do not want to run a season if their TV colleague Arjen Lubach is also on the channel. “He was on television every workday and you don’t want to overlap too much.”
Even Tot Hier, the program by Niels van der Laan and Jeroen Woe, started a few weeks later than usual this season. Who is the reason for that? Arjen Lubach. According to the duo, it is not a good idea if Even Tot Hier and De Avondshow with Arjen Lubach are broadcast in the same period.
Not at the same time as Arjen
Jeroen therefore ensured that Even Tot Hier was postponed. “We asked for that ourselves, because Arjen Lubach was on TV every working day. You don’t want to overlap too much. Then you can actually only use the crumbs that have been left behind,” said the comedian in TROS Kompas.
Outside the broadcasting period, according to Jeroen, nothing has consciously changed to Even Tot Hier. They are so into fixed patterns that they always sit in the same chair. “Yes haha. We’re pretty autistic about that. We have sometimes sat differently, but that doesn’t feel right.”
Heavy workload
By the way, Jeroen experiences making Even Tot Hier less of a party than most viewers would think. According to Jeroen, De Kwis, the predecessor of Even Tot Hier, did feel like a party. “It was a kind of playground on Saturday. It was casual, tasty with all of us chain. When that went away, I thought something like this would never come back.”
Even Tot Hier gives much more pressure, he says. “We are now the leaders. That is much more exciting, because everything now rests on our shoulders. It’s also great fun, but less fun. You feel that pressure all the time. It is much more serious, I sometimes miss the relaxation of that time.”
