Ski jumper falls heavily on the Olympic hill

In the first Olympic test, Eva Pinkelnig falls violently. There are dramatic scenes. The 37 -year -old Austrian fears a serious knee injury.
The Austrian ski jumper Eva Pinkelnig was difficult for the summer Grand Prix in Predazzo, Italy. In the first competition on the new Olympic ski jump, the 37-year-old fell in the second round after landing, stayed in the run and immediately reached the knee. Screams could be heard on TV.
After an initial treatment on site, Pinkelnig is to be brought to a clinic, where further examinations follow. Coach Thomas Diethart said: “She is still in shock. It is difficult to assess how she really is.”
The ski jumps in the Val di Fiemme were rebuilt for the Olympic Winter Games next February. The summer Grand Prix serves as the official test of the system.
