On Thursday, 19 May, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) proved the allegations: six countries had been fooled in the vote. The countries had agreed to give each other votes at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The cheated visas are San Marino, Poland, Georgia, Romania, Montenegro and Azerbaijan. The scam attempt was revealed in the second semi-final when the EBU and other organizers began to doubt the results of the vote. The results show that the judges of the countries have agreed to vote with each other.

After noticing the scam attempt, the judges in those countries were recounted. The calculation method used the previous voting history.

As fraud was observed in the semi-finals, the EBU did not trust the points given by the countries in the final either. They were also recalculated. EurovisionWorld stated that the result is final and cannot be appealed.

The overwhelming winner of the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest was the Ukrainian Kalush Orchestra Stefania. The Rasmus, who represented Finland, finished 21st in the final.
