European stocks end: stagnation in view of rising bond yields

PARIS/LONDON (dpa-AFX) – In view of a further rise in interest rates on the capital markets, Europe’s stock exchanges continued their consolidation at a high level at the start of the week. The Eurostoxx 50 (EURO STOXX 50) closed virtually unchanged on Monday with minus 0.02 percent at 4,655.27 points. On Friday the leading index for the Eurozone reached another high since 2001.

The French CAC 40 also fell moderately on Monday by 0.03 percent to 7589.96 points. The London FTSE 100 also ended the first trading day of the week almost unchanged at minus 0.04 percent and 7612.86 points./bek/jha/
