Today the second edition of the International Prosecutors Summit on Antisemitism (IPSA) starts in The Hague. Public prosecutors and legal experts from 33 European countries exchange knowledge and experience on the legal approach to anti-Semitism. The conference is organized by the National Coordinator for Combating Anti-Semitism (NCAB).

Eddo Verdoner (NCAB): “The conference clearly meets a need: this year, delegations from 33 countries are participating, twice as many as in the first edition last year. Tackling anti-Semitism can be complicated, and we notice that there is a great need among prosecutors to learn from each other.”

Opening by Minister Foort van Oosten

The conference will be opened today by Minister of Justice and Security Foort van Oosten. Today and tomorrow there will be contributions from, among others, Attorney General Sue Preenen, emeritus professor Alan Dershowitz, professor Robert Katz and former justice at the Supreme Court Ybo Buruma. Participating countries organize working groups in which they explore case studies together.
