The EU member states did not succeed in making hard agreements exactly how much emissions they will reduce by 2035, which is important for the upcoming UN climate top in Brazil. However, EU countries have signed a so-called declaration of intent, reports the Danish minister Lars Aagaard after consultation by the EU climate ministers. It has been agreed that in 2035 the EU between 66.3 and 72.5 percent less emissions, the statement says.
