Marketplace operator Etsy has appointed Rachana Kumar to the position of chief technology officer.
Kumar, who currently serves as Etsy’s vice president of engineering and has been with the company since 2014, will take up her new position effective Jan. 1, Etsy announced Thursday. She reports directly to Etsy CEO Josh Silverman.
She takes over for Mike Fisher, who is leaving the company “to spend more time with his family and to pursue other interests.” Fisher will remain at Etsy in an advisory capacity through April.
