Established family physician Petra Otte-Saier, who has been serving the community of Biberach for many years, is relocating her practice to the new medical center at Klinikum Biberach starting in July this year. Under the umbrella of Sana MVZ Stadt Biberach GmbH, she aims to continue providing familiar family health care while taking advantage of the modern structures available in the medical center. This transition significantly strengthens primary healthcare services at Biberach.

Expanding Healthcare Services

Sana MVZ centers have played an essential role in outpatient medical care for over a decade. Collaborating closely with the facilities of Sana Klinik Landkreis Biberach, these centers offer a broad range of specialized medical services. As of July, Dr. Petra Otte-Saier will enhance the general medicine practice at the medical center, thereby expanding the primary care offerings available to patients.

The relocation allows for a seamless continuation of care within a modern environment. The new practice facilities, which opened in 2021, boast up-to-date infrastructure and optimal conditions for medical care. Dr. Otte-Saier will remain a personal point of contact for her patients, providing the same dependable healthcare services from the new location while benefiting from closer ties with other specialties in the adjacent clinic.

Dr. Otte-Saier’s Expertise

As an experienced family physician, Dr. Otte-Saier brings years of experience and additional qualifications in diabetology, natural medicine, and travel medicine. Her practice is also authorized to administer yellow fever vaccinations. The scope of services covers comprehensive primary care, including treatment for acute illnesses, preventive check-ups, and long-term management of chronic diseases through Disease Management Programs (DMP) for diabetes, coronary heart disease, COPD, and asthma.

In addition, health check-ups, skin cancer screenings, EKG tests, long-term blood pressure monitoring, ultrasound and laboratory examinations, as well as pulmonary function tests will be available. The range of services also includes minor surgical procedures, wound care, pain management, travel medicine consultations, including vaccinations, and various medical certifications.

Ensuring Long-term Care

“With Dr. Otte-Saier, we are acquiring a highly experienced and well-connected family doctor for our team in Biberach,” states Alena Lass, Managing Director of Sana MVZ. “Her transition strengthens local primary care services and is a vital step toward the long-term sustainability of accessible general medical care in Biberach. Her broad expertise will complement the existing offerings at the MVZ effectively.”

Dr. Otte-Saier expresses optimism about this new chapter: “For my patients, personal and continuous care remains at the heart of my practice. Moving to the medical center allows me to work under modern conditions while engaging in closer interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues at the clinic, ultimately benefiting my patients, especially with more complex issues.”

The general medicine practice is located on the ground floor of the medical center on Marie-Curie-Strasse 6. Appointments can be made via phone at 07351/55-5900, online through Doctolib, or via email at [email protected]. More information is available online at www.sana.de/bc-mvz.
