After two years in Munich, Eric dier is moving to France. The central defender will run in the Monaco jersey in the future.

As expected, the long -time English international Eric Dier changes from FC Bayern to French first division club AS Monaco. The club from the principality announced this on Wednesday evening. In Monaco, Dier, whose contract had expired in Munich after two years, signs until 2028. So he changes free of charge.

In a video published on platform X, Dier talks about his change: “I’m sorry, my French is not yet good enough, but that will be soon. I am happy to be able to announce that I will join AS Monaco in summer.” He is also looking forward to the team to start the stadium and soon.

With the German record champion, Dier has scored three goals in 47 competitive games so far. Sports director Christoph Freund had recently announced the defender’s farewell. “We have had good discussions about a possible contract extension in the past few weeks, but he informed us that he will not extend and leave us,” said Freund.
