Third division FC Energie Cottbus has signed Theo Ogbidi and Moritz Hannemann. The 24-year-old outdoor car player Ogbidi comes to Lausitz from the regional league champion 1. FC Lok Leipzig. Hannemann is the fifth newcomer. The 27-year-old is said to strengthen the offensive and most recently played with the regional league team in Würzburger Kickers. Information about the contract term was not given.
After his youth, Ogbidi switched to RB Leipzig in the B-Junior age to the 1st FC Magdeburg. In the summer of 2020 he went to the regional league team Chemnitzer FC before Lok secured the services of the fast wing player a year later. OGBIDI played 107 competitive games (10 goals and 24 templates) for the exhibitors.
“It brings a lot of speed and dynamics. These are things that are important for our kind of football,” said energy coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz. He wanted to get Ogbidi two years ago, but a serious injury prevented the transfer.
