More than 2000 trucks graced the TT Circuit in Assen this weekend, for the fortieth edition of the Truckstar Festival. Actually, that could be many more trucks.
More than 5000 registrations were received for this anniversary edition. But there is only room for about 2200 trucks. Another 24 trucks did more in the most beautiful truck contest. One of these was the truck of Daan Baarslag from Hoogeveen, but in his category he just missed the title.
And where the festival is back on the agenda after corona, the final ride of the trucks on the highway home is also back. Despite the gray weather, there are enough people on the side of the highway ready to wave them goodbye.
