Emmen Jürgen Locadia continues his football career in Iran. The 28-year-old former PSV striker has signed a one-year contract with Persepolis FC, the number 2 of last season.
Locadia exchanged PSV in 2018 for Brighton & Hove Albion from the Premier League. That move did not turn out to be a great success, after which he was loaned to the German club 1899 Hoffenheim and FC Cincinnati from the United States. Last season, the attacker played for VfL Bochum, but that stay was not extended.
Locadia scored 45 goals in 127 matches for PSV.
Persepolis FC, from the capital Tehran, won the national championship fourteen times and for the last time in 2021.
