Plasschaert preceded Anne-Pascale Roelandts and Djemila Tassin. The 31-year-old Oostendse took bronze in the ILCA 6-class last year at the World Cup in the Argentinian Mar del Plata and finished in seventh place at the Olympic Games in Paris last summer.
With Anouk Geurts in Paris, Isaura Maenhaut took part in the Olympic Games as ruling European champions in the 49er FX class. They finished seventeenth. On the Sailing Awards, the duo was named Team of the Year.
Sol Degrieck also won prizes as a surfer of the year. At the age of only 15 she develops spectacularly. She became world champion windsurfing at the U18 and she is already recognized by the seniors with a 3rd and 5th place in the World Cup competitions in Chile and Gran Canaria.
Team Tom Florizoone went on the prize in Yachting. Nieuwpoort was the host of the Halfon Classics Cup for the fifth time. The local team led by Tom Florizoone won this edition on board Red Cloud, half a tonner from 1980. It was a turbulent edition due to the changeable weather conditions.
