Two-time world coach Jürgen Klopp is a big fan of the German women’s national soccer team. In a video message, the Liverpool coach wished the players and national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg every success for the European Championship semifinals against France.
“Now you know I like a certain kind of football,” said Klopp. “And so you can imagine that I love your football. The commitment you show, the way you push yourself to the limit, the fitness – you look incredibly fresh throughout the game, crazy.”
Shortly before the game kicked off in Milton Keynes, Voss-Tecklenburg reported that he had included Klopp’s video in the match day briefing. “Those were impressive words that helped us again to believe in our strengths,” said the national coach on ZDF.
