At the end of the summer vacation, the series returns to Finland. Before that, we say goodbye to Reino. A Great Dane who lived to be almost 10 years old died a year ago. The dog’s ashes were transported in a porcelain container to Puglia, where they are sprinkled before departure.
– We sprinkle Reino’s ashes on the field, because Italy was Reino’s favorite place, Ellen explains to her child.
Ralph is worried that the ashes will fly away. That’s exactly what can happen according to mom.
– Then Reino is everywhere, Ellen says in the series.
Jari breaks down in tears when, at Ellen’s request, he comes to admire the porcelain dish bathed in the colors of the rainbow in the sunlight. Inside it are Reino’s ashes. MTV3
Tears cannot be avoided. When Jaria starts to cry, Ralph comforts her.
– The work of mourning will continue for a long time. It’s a sign that a broken heart is a heart that has loved, Jari says wisely.

Before Ellen and Jari bought a second home in Italy, Reino was already showing signs of old age. In Zaapasmaa, the dog got, as it were, more life.
– Suddenly, we had a young moose again, which swung along the fields and immediately turned into a completely different dog. Reino sunbathed in front of the main door and went for long walks along the fields, Jari recalls.
– Reino stays here on his own land, his last land and plot, about which he has whispered to Viljo and taught him where to sunbathe and what are the best spots in the field, Ellen adds beautifully.

The whispering took place at home in Finland, because the puppy Viljo never made it to Italy with Reino. However, like Reino, Viljo is frolicking in the field and sunbathing in the exact same spot.
– Goodbye, Reino, Ellen says goodbye to the dog while throwing its ashes in the field.
– Thank you, Reino, Jari says in his last words.
