Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “red pants”.

HSV professional Daniel Elfadli took time to realize the Bundesliga player after his steep ascent from the regional league to the Bundesliga player. The 28-year-old commented on his development in a club’s own interview.

“Suddenly the real thing that you dreamed of for a long time and what seemed very far away,” said Elfadli. The defender played for VfR Aalen in the Regionalliga Südwest in the 2021/2022 season.

He played his first Bundesliga game about two weeks ago at 0-0 in Mönchengladbach. “The game in Gladbach initially felt like a test game because I just felt that I just couldn’t believe it. With a little distance and time I know that the dream is now a reality,” added Elfadli.

On Saturday (6.30 p.m./Sky) Elfadli with the HSV is faced with the challenge at the record champions FC Bayern Munich. There the native of Leonberger meets the German international Serge Gnabry – both attended the same school. “That was of course unthinkable at the time. It is funny somewhere that it will come to the meeting now – that is a bit the irony of life,” he said.

In order to be physically better able to cope with the higher quality of the league, Elfadli has increased “two or three kilos”. “You quickly become aware that every single situation can change the game and that opportunities are used much more efficiently. You are automatically more concentrated,” he said.

The “Rotheters” do not get going: On Wednesday evening, the U21 of the HSV received the fifth defeat in a row. At the promoted HSC Hannover, the team lost 1: 4 (0: 0).

Before the game, professional trainer Merlin Polzin had sent three players to the second team: Gui Ramos, Silvan Hefti and Immanuel Pherai were to collect game practice in the Regionalliga Nord. The support did not help: shortly after half -time Mehmet Özün (54th) scored 1-0 for Hanover. Luc-Elias Fender (68.), Evren Serbes (86th) and Tayar Tasdelen (90.+3) made the victory perfect. For the HSV-U21, Pherai (70th) scored for the meantime 1: 2.

The HSC Hannover now ranks with 9 points in 12th place in the table. In contrast, the HSV-U21 is deep in the crisis: the team only scored 4 points from the first 8 games at 6:20 goals and is in 16th place.
