In addition, there is coach Julian Nagelsmann, who with 16.5 percent of the votes only just left Freiburg’s Christian Streich (13.9 percent) behind.

Eleven of the day: This is how the TM community voted

Jamal Musiala received the most votes from Nagelsmann’s protégés with a large majority, who again – as in the Supercup – shone. The 19-year-old scored two goals at SGE and was rewarded with a nomination for the best eleven by 91.1 percent of the participating users. He is joined by his teammates Joshua Kimmich (61.1 percent), Thomas Müller (26.7 percent), Benjamin Pavard (42.6 percent) and newcomer Sadio Mané (53.5 percent). The latter celebrates his debut in the top eleven after his €32 million departure from Liverpool FC, just as he promptly made his debut as a goalkeeper in the Bundesliga.

In the further voting result, the TM community also recognized two other professionals who changed clubs in the summer: Nico Schlotterbeck (37.6 percent), who moved from SC Freiburg to BVB, made a strong debut, as did SCF returnees Matthias Ginter (52.5 percent), who scored 4-0 at FC Augsburg. With Vincenzo Grifo (30 percent) and Jude Bellingham (25.1 percent), one player each can be found in the selection. The team is completed by Gladbach’s Ramy Bensebaini (26.1 percent), who started the race to catch up against TSG Hoffenheim with a remarkable overhead kick, and Stuttgart’s goalkeeper Florian Müller (39.9 percent), who saved a point for VfB against RB Leipzig.
