Electricity supplier Mega again wins group purchase province
The electricity supplier was under fire, among other things for significantly increasing the advance invoices at the time.
This year, at the twelfth edition of the group purchase of green electricity and gas, 76,000 registrations have already been registered, of which 73,000 are families and 3,000 are companies. The auction took place on Wednesday 8 February.
“Average 24% lower than current market supply”
“Power supplier Mega made the best offer for private consumers at this auction,” says the province.
“The energy costs of the group purchase offer are on average 24% lower than the current market offer. The current market offer is composed on the basis of the average of the most advantageous contracts that the largest energy suppliers in Flanders currently offer for a comparable energy offer.
Energie.be offered the lowest prices for professional consumers. The energy costs of the contract for professional consumers are on average 21% lower than the current market supply. The energy contracts of this group purchase have variable prices that are adjusted monthly according to fixed indexation formulas. In this way, prices follow the market evolution.”
