MIlano, 1 Jul. (askanews) – In Dubai the first test flight of a fully electric air taxi was successfully completedin view of its launch scheduled for 2026. The aircraft, developed by the American Joby Aviation, can fly for about 160 kilometers at a speed of 320 km/h. The goal of this means is to offer an alternative to congested traffic of the Emiratin metropolisfor example, reducing travel times from Dubai airport to Palm Jumeirah from 45 to just 12 minutes.
The taxi plane moves with take -off and vertical landing, flight in winged mode. Dubai has called specific air corridors for flying taxi and cargo drones and regulation in advance of many other international realities. The model of aircraft used, known as S4, is equipped with a six -rotator propulsion system, capable of transporting a pilot and up to four passengers.
