D66 has surpassed the PVV as the largest party in the municipality. The social liberals can now count on 20.7 percent of the votes, while the PVV has to make do with 16.5 percent. In 2023, the tables were turned. At that time, the PVV was the largest with 23.4 percent of the votes and D66 received only 7.3 percent.

The gain for Rob Jetten’s party is mainly due to the loss of GroenLinks-PvdA and the VVD. The left-wing merger party drops from 20.5 to 15.4 percent and the VVD goes from 15.3 percent to 13.6.

The CDA is doing well and has gone from 2.4 to 9.6 percent. JA21 increases from 0.7 to 5.6 percent.

As in the rest of the country, the loss is greatest for NSC: Pieter Omtzigt’s party falls from 11.4 percent to just 0.3 percent. There is also a loss for the SP (from 4.1 to 2.3), Volt (2.2 to 1.3) and the BBB (2.1 to 1.2).
