Berlin (dpa -AfX) – Shortly before the election, the song appeared on television and internet – and now also at the CDU election party: The clip “Rambo Zambo” by moderator Stefan Raab ran on a big screen in the foyer of the party headquarters in Berlin, As a candidate for Chancellor and party leader Friedrich Merz after television appearances in the Adenauerhaus thanked his supporters. “Now Stefan Raab was with us,” he called to the followers. “And from now on it says: Rambo Zambo.”
It is still not entirely clear whether the Union needs two government partners or with one, said Merz, who had put the tie. “In any case, it is clear that the government order is with us.” Merz thanked the team in the Adenauerhaus for a “great job”. The 69-year-old was accompanied by his wife Charlotte, who took selfie photos with party supporters. Merz later drank a beer with the North Rhine-Westphalian Minister of Social Affairs and CDU Federal Vice-President Karl-Josef Laumann.
What is behind Rambo Zambo
The formula “Rambo Zambo” had taken up Merz in the campaign final a few times. Raab picked up quotes from the CDU leader in the music video. For example, Merz had been asked in a live stream whether “Bubatz” remains legal – a word used by young people for cannabis. Merz asked back: “What is Bubatz?” In the Refrain of Raab you can hear Merz with the words: “Here in the house right Rambo Zambo” – obviously a modification of Ramba Zamba./sam/bk/dp/zb
