Anthony Elanga (23) is about to move from Nottingham Forest to Newcastle United. Consistent media reports from Fabrizio Romano and “The Athletic” have reached the club’s agreement on a transfer that promotes Elanga to second place in the ranking of the most expensive Newcastle purchases.

Elanga is to complete the medical examinations by Wednesday and then sign a contract by 2030. According to “The Athletic”, the transfer is £ 52 million, which is the equivalent of around 60 million euros. Bonuses would also be added, Romano reports a total of almost 64 million euros.
Either way, Elanga would classify himself in second place in the most expensive approaches in Newcastle’s club history-behind his compatriot Alexander Isak (25), who has been in front with his 70 million change from Real Sociedad since summer 2022. With a view to the current transfer period, at least 60 million euros have been paid six times so far, only in one case the receiving association does not come from the Premier League.
If the change of 22-fold Swedish national player takes place, training club Manchester United would also benefit financially. Elanga was active for the Red Devils from 2015 until his signature at Nottingham 2023. Forest had cost his services to cost 16 million euros. Since then, Elanga has been on the pitch 82 times (11 goals/21 templates) and screwed its market value from 18 million to EUR 42 million.
