Midfielder Paxten Aaronson is the sixth professional from Eintracht Frankfurt to be loaned out in the current winter transfer window (for an overview). The 20-year-old was presented to Eredivisie club Vitesse Arnheim in the Netherlands on Thursday evening after a successful medical check. He signed a working paper dated until the end of the season.
The American, whose contract in Hesse runs until 2027, is expected to gain match practice with the bottom team in the Dutch upper house during the second half of the season, which he has so far been denied in SGE coach Dino Toppmöller’s first team. The 1.75 meter tall right-footer only made seven short appearances during the first half of the season; in total, the brother of Union Berlin’s Brenden Aaronson has only played 14 league games since his move in January 2023, in which he received two assists.
Squad values 2023: BVB and Eintracht Frankfurt among the biggest losers
“We have a clear plan for him and want to build him up carefully. “We will give Paxten the time he needs to get used to the new environment and develop in the best possible way,” Eintracht’s sports director Markus Krösche said when signing the offensive force. Now Aaronson seems to be taking the detour via Vitesse.
