Eintracht Braunschweig presented their second new signing on Deadline Day. Central midfielder Hampus Finndell joins the second division club on loan from Djurgårdens IF until the end of the season. In the event of relegation, BTSV has a purchase option for the Swede. With a market value of 2 million euros, the 23-year-old is now the most valuable player in the Eintracht squad.

Finndell, a former U21 national player for Sweden, comes to Lower Saxony with the experience of 80 games in the Swedish league. “With Hampus Finndell we are gaining a player who fits perfectly into the requirements profile we are looking for for the position in central midfield. Hampus already has a lot of experience for his young age and will help us especially when playing with the ball. We are very happy that we were able to convince him of our path and that we will now integrate him into our team as quickly as possible,” explained sports director Benjamin Kessel. Before Finndell, Braunschweig had already signed Niklas Tauer (on loan) this winter.
