Eintracht Braunschweig has strengthened its offensive with Faride Alidou and responded to the departure of Christian Conteh. The 24-year-old winger is coming to Lower Saxony on loan from second division rivals 1. FC Kaiserslautern until the end of the season. As the club announced, the Lions were able to secure a purchase option for Alidou, the amount of which was not disclosed.

Alidou, who trained at HSV, moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to the Red Devils in January 2025, where he was involved in five goals in 26 games. In the current season he was on the field in 14 games, but was only in the starting line-up five times. He scored one goal and provided three assists. In Braunschweig he is supposed to replace Conteh, who moved to 1. FC Heidenheim and was involved in seven goals in the first half of the season.

“We are very pleased that we were able to win Faride Alidou for us. Faride has everything an offensive player needs. He is dynamic, clever in the half-spaces, has depth and is a goal threat. Despite his young age, he has already proven this in the Bundesliga, among other places. Faride needs the self-confidence and rhythm of the game again in order to bring his great qualities onto the pitch with conviction. We had very open discussions with him in which he immediately signaled that he would get involved and definitely come to us “We are convinced that we can bring him back to his strengths,” said sports director Benjamin Kessel.
