Did storm Corrie move the coastline a long way south on Monday? NOS presenter Rob Trip left viewers of the eight o’clock news confused after he said ‘off the coast at Eindhoven’, instead of ‘off the coast at IJmuiden’. Viewers can laugh about it on Twitter.
The eight o’clock news started with the news about a ship that had run into problems due to the storm off the coast at IJmuiden (not Eindhoven). Twitter is not about the ship, but viewers especially have fun about the slip of the NOS presenter.
“Ideal! In the summer after a #PSV home game, go to the beach! One time gas and you are there,” laughs PSV supporter Bas Dijkhof. “Storm Corrie knocks away part of the coast, nowadays Eindhoven by the sea,” says viewer Anné Plaisier.
There is good news about the people on board the ship: all eighteen people on board were rescued by the coast guard.
