Efteling is going to venture into a world record attempt. To celebrate that the new hotel is almost ready, the park is putting on a bow. Literal. A huge bow is hung on the building during the opening in August. The biggest ever, that’s the intention.
That doesn’t seem like an impregnable hurdle. To break the world record, the bow only needs to be wider than 3.5 meters and higher than 1.5 meters. How large the Efteling actually wants to make the bow, leaves the park in the middle for the time being. That will be announced at a later time. The facade of the hotel is also 106 meters wide.
The promotion is registered with the organization of Guinness World Records for ‘Largbon Ribbon Bow’. The bow will be unveiled on August 1, on the day the hotel opens its doors for the first time.

By the way, you have to have something left for a room in that brand new hotel: for the cheapest family room you pay 585 euros. The luxury suite of the hotel can be booked from 1465 euros.
You no longer have to search for a room during the weekend of the opening: the first two weeks of August are sold out.
