Edwin Evers returns to Radio 538 | after more than five years Show

After an absence of more than five years, Edwin Evers can be heard again with his own program on Radio 538. Starting Friday, the DJ will start the weekend every week with a Friday afternoon show.

Evers previously created the successful morning show for 21 years Evers Gets Up, including eighteen years at Radio 538. When he retired at the end of 2018, he indicated that he wanted to make room for other things and, among other things, started making music. However, he still filled in sporadically on various channels.

A Friday afternoon show was a long-cherished wish of the 52-year-old radio DJ. He will program that title Evers & Co wears, together with sidekick Cobus Bosscha and newsreader Henk Blok. Evers has worked with both before Evers Gets Up.

In conversation with this site the radio DJ said that his new program ‘will look really different from the morning show’. “In any case, I’m not a fan of the regular sections. I prefer to invite guests who have released a new book or album or have been in the news. Above all, it should be a cheerful feel-good show that captures the weekend feeling.”
