Strawberry salsa and crisp Brie cheese are a delicious combination. Pasi Liesimaa

– Now it’s a good idea to pick up, buy and eat domestic strawberries, chef Risto Mikkola encourages.

He states that nothing can get anywhere: Finnish strawberries are the best in the world. It takes care of, among other things, long bright summer nights.

Mikkola eats strawberries in many different dishes.

– I start the strawberry season by eating them with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. They are best with strawberries, Mikkola says.

He may add a little orange peel, cardamom or cinnamon to the whipped cream, causing a new taste such as acidity or bunny. With crunchy nuts or pistachio seeds, the dose will be chewed.

Strawberries are easy to treat. They taste in strawberry milk, strawberry cake, roll cake, milkshake, porridge, pies, jams and dried, Mikkola continues to list.

In addition to sweet treats, Mikkola slices strawberries for salads or cheeses. Good cheeses include feta, goat cheese or even Aura cheese. Our chef advises that in the salad, for example, a thin sliced fennel, basil and mint are good pairs of strawberries.

– Strawberry is a versatile berry that is worth taking advantage of.

This time the strawberry is enjoyed in the form of a salsa with crispy cheese. Mikkola says that Brie has a very long history. It extends until the 7th century.

Brie is a real delicious cheese that is often eaten with canned or fresh fruits. Brie is also great when heated. Grids to the surface, a little herb and toast in the oven.

Mikkola goes beyond a degree. He puts Briepala on the waffle iron and shines on a crisp cheese waffle. Cheese gets a whole new shape and taste. Of course, Brien can be eaten with strawberry salsa as such.

If you do not want to eat crispy brite, the salsa is also delicious with room temperature cheese. Pasi Liesimaa
