Dyantha Brooks was briefly mentioned as a potential substitute for Hélène Hendriks at De Oranjezomer and as a possible table guest in Today Inside, but what actually happened to that?

For a moment, many people thought they saw a great television talent in Dyantha Brooks, but that is all a bit disappointing. Nowadays we only see her at the desk of Shownieuws to poke feathers in the asses of fellow celebrities. She is too slimy, says media journalist Mark Koster. And Johan Derksen doesn’t think she’s critical enough.

‘Too bad for her’

Is the Talpa top now also tired of Dyantha? This week was the media company’s press presentation, but Dyantha did not appear in it. Is there anything else in the pipeline? “Well, no, I don’t think so. I haven’t seen it either,” says TV authority Tina Nijkamp in the podcast Tina’s TV Update.

It also doesn’t help that Dyantha’s CV now consists of a straight list of flops. “Dyantha Brooks of course had De Volgers and before that, in addition to Shownieuws, she also had a quiz the year before, Lettrix. Too bad, but it is not possible.”

Hélène in the lead

Tina thinks that the Talpa top mainly trusts the new one rising star from Talpa. “Hélène Hendriks has clearly become the great presenter of SBS 6 and Dyantha Brooks, who is also a new talent, is not there for the time being.”

She continues: “Wendy van Dijk will then get a program on Net5. Together with a Belgian, she will have to present So You Think You Can Dance there, because that will also be broadcast in Belgium, but nothing for Dyantha Brooks.”

And what about Johnny?

What about Johnny de Mol, the boss’s son? “I didn’t see Johnny de Mol with a very big program either. Perhaps they will do something together that is still in the pipeline, otherwise it will only be Show News for the time being.”

She concludes: “Yes, I still think Dyantha is a very great talent and I hope for her that she will get a new program soon.”
