In the process that started this week, there are two more people on the other hand: Yao Yijie (34) and Zhou Bing (40). They are all accused of involvement in the fire in which three young people died in a building on Via Cantoni in Milan, on 12 September last year.

Lawyer Zheng Fan of the relatives stated at the Italian Medium Fanpage.it that the Dutchman will soon make a statement about the tragedy. The victims are two brothers aged 18 and 17 and a 24-year-old woman, all Chinese.

Brand in retaliation

Public Prosecutor Luigi Luzi reported that Yao and Zhou ordered the 26-year-old Dutchman to set fire to the store at the specified address as a retribution for the debt of € 50,000 that the owner had with a Chinese countryman, for the renovation of another warehouse in the province of Udine.

However, the creditor also had a debt with the other Chinese person for drug -related matters, it was already known. This is how the plan was to contact L., who was apparently known as someone who takes on such jobs.

One of the Chinese suspects would have threatened the owner of the store with a knife when he returned home, just like a day later his wife, just before the showroom on Via Cantoni. The two immediately reported attempted extortion to the police.

‘I call the madman’

The police have previously managed to get hold of the man who claimed to get half a ton from the entrepreneur. “If you don’t pay me the money, I will set your case on fire, I will … I will call the madman,” the man applied to the debtor. By that he means Washi L.

He already had quite a criminal record. L., from Zeeland, was previously arrested in connection with a series of burglaries and thefts in Zeeland and West Brabant. Moreover, he is known to the German authorities as ‘armed and dangerous’, and would have several crimes to his name there, including attempted murder.

One of the Chinese suspects had complained about the owner of the building after the fire. He accused him of negligence because he had not provided good fire -safe measures in the store.

“They deserved it, this fire”

Suspect Yao

This Yao also wrote: ,, They deserved it, this fire. He has money and did not want to give it, he is very stingy. He wants to be a rude person. ” Moments later he also sent the following text: “Everyone in the sector is happy … he is really well known.”

The act of arson would have been given for this from revenge. What the suspects probably didn’t know is that three young people – including a minor – were staying in the building and slept there too.

Claim for compensation

The 17-year-old Liu Yinjie, his sister Dong Yindan, a year older, and also the 24-year-old An Pan died in the Sea. The three tried to escape the bathroom, but because of the smoke that was released during the fire, they did not succeed in getting there.

During the search, a dog, specialized in the search for possible ‘accelerators’, discovered that there were indeed fabrics that would have fueled the flames in the room at the door. The fire spread, partly because of that, super -fast.

The families of the victims have also brought a civil lawsuit and want compensation for the death of their loved ones. “We are devastated by sorrow,” they said through lawyer Fan Zheng, who represents the relatives. Survivors are struggling with great emotional and mental problems.

The three are accused of multiple manslaughter, arson and attempted extortion. During the hearing, L., who immediately fled to the Netherlands after the drama, stated that he intends to make a statement.

He was eventually extradited after his residence Middelburg was outdated in our country and he had been beaten. In Italy he immediately ended up behind bars.

The next hearing is planned for September 22.
