Dutch shoe manufacturer UFG becomes Gap’s license partner

The Dutch shoe manufacturer Unlimited Footwear Group (UFG) and the US clothing group Gap Inc. have entered into a licensing partnership. Under the terms of the agreement, UFG’s The Heritage Footwear Company will develop, manufacture and market Gap’s footwear collections in all European Union markets, as well as the UK, Switzerland and Scandinavia. The first products resulting from the collaboration for women, men and children are expected to be launched in the Spring/Summer 2023 season.

“We are thrilled to add Gap to our licensing portfolio and look forward to working closely with the Gap team on many future footwear collections,” said UFG CEO Bart van Helvoirt in a statement. “We want to use our more than 30 years of experience in the shoe industry to further increase the awareness of the Gap brand and its international reach.” The company is already a license partner for G-Star Raw, Björn Borg, Supertrash and Levi’s shoes.
