Dutch people receive many more traffic fines, a large part of which is due to the focus flash

The number of traffic violations increased by 13 percent in the first four months of this year compared to the same period last year, reports the Central Judicial Collection Agency (CJIB). In total, almost 2.6 million violations were detected from January to April this year, compared to just under 2.3 million in that period in 2025.
