Three Dutch participants in the Global Sumud Flotilla arrived at Schiphol from Istanbul on Friday afternoon. Israel intercepted them in the Mediterranean Sea as they headed to Gaza in a flotilla with dozens of boats to deliver aid.

Several dozen people were waiting for the trio in the arrivals hall. They carried Palestinian flags and some had a megaphone.

According to a spokesperson for the Dutch delegation of the flotilla, there would be participants mistreated after Israel captured them.

Journalist Gijs Sanders and his cameraman from broadcaster BNNVara, who also participated in the flotilla, landed at Schiphol earlier in the day. According to platform De Marker, for which they work, they are doing well under the circumstances and all fleet participants in Istanbul have been medically checked. The broadcaster previously announced that psychological help was available for Sanders and his cameraman.
