Motocrosser Herlings also wins in Turkey after GP of the Netherlands
19.06 hours: Motcrosser Jeffrey Herlings has won his second GP in a row in the MXGP class. After the Grand Prix of the Netherlands in Arnhem, 30-year-old Brabander also won the GP of Turkey. Herlings won for the Belgian Lucas Coenen and the French leader in the world championship, Romain Febvre.
In the first moto on the circuit in Afyonkarahisar, Herlings finished second behind Coenen. In the second moto he stayed ahead of Febvre and Coenen. Calvin Vlaanderen finished seventh and Glenn Coldenhoff as ninth.
In the World Cup, Febvre leads with 885 points for Coenen that has 859. Coldenhoff is third with 638 points.
In the MX2 class, Kay de Wolf finished second behind the German Simon Längenfelder. With 833 points, the German has twelve more than the wolf.
Italian volleyball players for the second time world champion
6.26 pm: The Italian volleyball players have become world champions for the second time. In the Thai capital Bangkok, the Olympic Champion of Paris defeated European Champion Turkey in five sets: 3-2 (25-23 13-25 26-24 19-25 15-8). The bronze went to Brazil, which Japan defeated in five sets.
Italy was previously world champion in 2002. In 2018, the Italian volleyball players lost the final of Serbia. It was the first final place for Turkey.

Colin Veijer after hesitant start ninth in Moto2 at GP Catalonia
13.09 hours Motorcycle racer Collin Veijer finished in ninth place in the Moto2 at the Grand Prix of Catalonia. The 20-year-old Staphorster started the Race on Circuit de Catalunya of Barcelona third, but a finish on stage turned out to be too high. He rode in seventh place for a long time, but lost two positions towards the end of the game.
The Spaniard Daniel Holgado won the race.

FC Twente also says goodbye to assistant trainer Uneken

Schloesser and De Laat took the European title last year and also won a World Cup in Paris two months ago. Mixed teams in the Compound section may participate in the Olympic Games for the first time in 2028.
Schloesser has been wearing the world ranking for years. ‘Mister Perfect’, as his nickname is, qualified for the eighth finals of the individual competition in the Compound section. He defeated Chenh-Lun 150-148.
