Nils Dunkel surprisingly won the title on the bar at the European Turn European Championships in Leipzig.
Three years after the European Championship bronze in Munich on the pommel horse, the 28-year-old Halle-Halle presented an impeccable exercise and received 13,900 points and 0.1 points more than in qualification. Mixed team team champion Timo Eder from Ludwigsburg completed the shiny performance as third with 13,700 points.
The first German Baren European champion since Marcel Nguyen 2012 is dark. The silver medal went to Ian Raubal from Switzerland with 13,766 points.
