The Lenovo team sports a special livery for the Italy GP. Everything revolves around the concept of genius, represented by two great figures: Leonardo da Vinci and Niccolò Machiavelli
The Italy GP is a special appointment for Ducati. As already happened in 2024, when the two GP24 had colored in blue, paying homage to the Italian national teams, this year also the Lenovo formation will show off a particular livery for motorcycles and pilots uniforms. The theme chosen for the 2025 edition is Renaissance Florence. The Tuscan city gave birth to two great historical figures: Leonardo da Vinci and Niccolò Machiavelli. And Ducati was inspired by them to make the new livery. The bike is black, with red shades and silver drawings, while the pilots showed the grenade shirts.

The project was born from the collaboration between the designer Aldo Drudi and the historian Marcello Simonetta. The theme of genius is placed in the center, declined in two different ways. On the one hand there is the harmony linked to art and science, represented by Leonardo. Inspired by the design “The leader” of Da Vinci himself, Drudi portrays Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia as two modern knights. A concept that is reinforced during the story created by Ducati. It is played right on the continuous reference between past and present. Marquez and Bagnaia enter the Stibbert Museum in Florence as simple sportsmen and then transformed into real knights, in the middle of armor that come to life.

On the other hand, however, the cunning stands out, sometimes without scruples, described by Machiavelli. To strengthen the idea, the design placed on the Desmosedici GP, which resumes a lion, symbol par excellence of force, and the fox, the emblem of shrewdness, thinks about it. Decisive ingredients to win, but also different variations of the concept of genius. The tribute designed by Ducati revolves around this call of the past: combining technique and beauty forming something special. A work of art capable of leaving his mark, just as he hopes to make the Italian team at Mugello in today’s race.
