“Yesterday I learned that back in December, Margarita Pavlovna Korabelnikova, the voice of our childhood, the same Umka, died. And also Pierrot, Antoshka with potatoes, Gunka from Dunno, Vovka from The Prodigal Parrot and hundreds of heroes of radio shows and fairy tales from vinyl records, the voices of boys and girls from old feature films (after all, children have always been dubbed by professional actresses) ”, Kapkov wrote.

Margarita Korabelnikova was born on June 19, 1931 in Moldova. She graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theater School and worked for some time at the M.N. Yermolova, then moved to the Gorky Film Studio. She gained the greatest fame when she took up dubbing.

The actress voiced more than 130 heroes of films and cartoons of Soviet, Russian and foreign production. In 1983 she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
