Tra international hits, tours around the world and viral dances on TikTok, Dua Lipa has managed to gain a respectable space in the fashion industry as well. In her hands – and in those of her stylist, Lorenzo Posocco – even a classic outfit, stolen from the male wardrobe, takes on a completely different character. On the red carpet of the brunch organized by Variety, a few days ago, the look of Dua Lipa, a oversized pinstripe suit, has risen to infinitely cool contemporary uniform. To be replied immediately.

Dua Lipa’s pinstriped look
The vertical striped outfit sported by the English singer has nothing of the traditional tailored suit. The coordinated, signed The Attic, in fact, stands out for its oversized fit, which translates into soft trousers with a generous hem and a maxi blazer with padded shoulders and single button closure. The secret to making it really feminine? Wear it “naked”, without a turtleneck or T-shirt underneath, letting the centimeters of exposed skin create a fascinating contrast with the masculine jacket. The choice of footwear was also not obvious: instead of classic décolleté, sling backs or flats, Dua Lipa opted for leather moccasins with platform soles by Marni.
A new femininity
However, the real difference in Dua Lipa’s outfit is made by the accessories, a detail from which to take inspiration for the next office look or to go nonchalantly from a meeting to an elegant dinner. The necklaces worn by the pop star, a chain choker and a necklace with a maxi pendant, both signed Givenchy, illuminate the face and “soften” the strict cut of the jacket. The pinstripe is therefore confirmed as an important presence on the catwalks of theFall Winter 2022-2023, updated and made feminine thanks to new silhouettes and daring combinations. From Bosses saw unstructured suits, Celine didn’t give up on rigorous blazers. While Sportmax has made the pinstripe motif the protagonist of enveloping and seductive coordinated sets, at Versace the print animates tailored trousers and pencil skirts, for a wardrobe that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The welcome addition to the season’s wardrobe? A pinstripe suit.
