Drunk man in his sixties drives into police after pursuit

The Middelkerke police had to intervene on Tuesday evening in cases of domestic violence in the Lombardsijde borough. The suspect then drove off, but police gave chase. The police tried to trap the man, but he drove into the police car himself. The sixties from Langemark-Poelkapelle turned out to be drunk.

He appeared before the trial judge this morning. He is officially suspected of armed rebellion. The investigating judge will release the man, although he must comply with a number of conditions.
